World Cup rounds couldn’t be any closer to home than this one with Les Gets just 5km away from my European base in Morzine. Traditionally not one of my best courses but I was keen to change that.

Short track was a tough one, I didn’t feel terrible but didn’t have the punch required to go with the top guys, missing out on a third row start by one spot.
My focus turned to the XCO and after a good start where I moved up a few places I settled into the race around 20th position.

I hovered around there for most of a race with a bunch of other riders until the last lap where I was able to empty the tank and bring it home for a solid 16th place.

Happy to score my best result in Les Gets so far and tick off the European block of World Cup races.
